BOULDER, Colo. – January 11, 2012 – ASD Inc., the global leader in high-performance analytical instrumentation and material analysis solutions, today announced the promotion of Michael Lands as the company’s vice president of marketing and sales, and the addition of Chris Sherry as senior market manager.

Lands has served as ASD’s marketing and product management director since 2005 and recently assumed the role of vice president, sales and marketing. In his new role, he is responsible for the company’s sales and marketing strategy. In addition, he is driving the implementation for ASD’s existing near-infrared spectroscopy solutions and its planned market growth strategy. Lands also oversees the company’s SummitCAL Solutions Team, which provides multivariate analysis and chemometrics services to ASD’s spectrometer customers.

Sherry, a Certified Professional Geologist, joins the team primarily to lead mining industry market expansion efforts. He comes to ASD with an extensive geological background as well as experience in project management, marketing and sales direction.
