Reference Panels
ASD carries a wide array of calibrated and non-calibrated diffuse white and gray reference panels in varying sizes (from 2x2 in. to 24x24 in. or 5.1 x 5.1 cm to .6 x .6 m) and reflectance levels, including encapsulated gray scale (NIST/NRC traceable) wavelength and USP standards for USP 1119. Calibrated panels come with certificate and documentation showing standard deviation and reflectance factors.
All reference panels and standards may be purchased separately. To provide our customers with a more cost-effective approach, specific sizes or styles of reference panels are included in accessory bundles designed for maximum compatibility with a particular application.
Your ASD sales representative will be able to advise you on the best option(s) for your needs.
Avian Technologies 'encapsulated' grey scale and USP Standards for USP 1119 (shown left: set on left). The grey scale standards have a small, re-sealable port in the top to allow for conditioning of the standard in a controlled humidity environment. Set of eight grey scale standards, cella with BK-7 window, nominal 8°/hemispherical reflectance of 5%, 10%, 20%, 40%, 80%, and 99% calibrated from 400-2400 nm, traceable to NIST/NRC. Data provided as hard copy and electronically on diskette or CD. The new USP Near-Infrared (NIR) System Suitability Reference Standard Intended for the qualification of NIR wavelength uncertainty where measurements are taken in diffuse reflectance mode, the new NIR Reference Standard comprises a mixture of talc and three rare earth oxides of dysprosium, holmium, and erbium. Suitable for Dispersive, FT, and CCD Array, it offers extended range applicability and the flexibility to choose user-specified bands. The new USP NIR Reference Standard does not require recertification in its lifecycle.
Avian Technologies 'encapsulated' grey scale and wavelength standards for USP 1119 (shown above: set on right). Fluorilon is encased in a Delrin holder with a 2" diameter BK-7 window. The overall size of the standard is 2.400" diameter (61 mm) and 0.620" thick (15.88 mm). The size of both the grey scale and wavelength standards is identical to enable fixturing for most instruments designed to measure pharmaceutical on-line processes. The wavelength standard has the same components as the National Institute of Technology's SRM-1920a, with a small amount of an inert, spectrally non-absorbing binder. Unlike sintered equivalents of SRM-1920a, this standard exhibits no peak shifting and is both durable and stable. Both grey scale and wavelength standard have a small, re-sealable port in the top to allow for conditioning of the standard in a controlled humidity environment.
