FieldSpec Handheld Spectroradiometer

Remote Sensing Instrument

Low base price (US Domestic)
(standard HandHeld model, before controller and optional accessories)

Product Specifications

With the FieldSpec® HandHeld and FieldSpec® HandHeld Pro, you can make spectroradiometric measurements anywhere! Whether you are in a greenhouse or a growth chamber, outdoors, in the laboratory or on the production floor, the compact FieldSpec® HandHeld delivers real-time, laboratory-quality results.

The ideal spectroradiometer for applications in precision agriculture, forestry, mining and oceanography, the FieldSpec® HandHeld offers high performance, portability and durability at an affordable price. No compromises here... the built-in shutter, DriftLock TM dark current compensation and second-order filtering unite to yield data that is free from the errors often associated with the "bargain" instruments other manufacturers offer. About the size of a pair of binoculars, the FieldSpec® HandHeld is ergonomically designed for either left or right hand operation.

FieldSpec® portable spectroradimeter with tripodThe FieldSpec® HandHeld Pro uses a higher sensitivity 512-element, photo-diode array spectroradiometer that is used in the FieldSpec® Pro UV/VNIR, scanning three times faster than the FieldSpec® HandHeld. Collecting spectra in the field will take less time and the faster scanning capabilities helps minimize any errors associated with changing environmental conditions. Your time and research is valuable. The HandHeld Pro was designed with that in mind.

FieldSpec® remote sensing instrument on tripodStandard on the FieldSpec® HandHeld and HandHeld Pro instruments are the following advanced features:

  • Multiple FOVs afford the investigation of varying target areas.
  • RS3 advanced remote sensing software for trouble-free data acquisition and storage.
  • DriftLock™ dark current compensation to ensure high accuracy.
  • Durable housing made of the same high-impact plastic used to encase heavy-duty industrial power tools.
  • Standard tripod mount allows hands-free operation.
  • Standard lithium ion camcorder batteries provide up to 6 hours of portable operation.
  • With a wavelength range of 325 - 1075 nm, the FieldSpec® HandHeld is well suited for applications in precision agriculture, forestry, mining, oceanography and industrial light measurement.

FieldSpec® handheld spectroradiometer w/ foreopticStandard Accessory Packages are also available for the HandHeld. These are bundled for your convenience and ease of ordering based on some of the more common application requirements.
