With the compact Smart Ethernet Adapter, designed with a
specialized high-performance internal microprocessor,
Analytical Spectral Devices (ASD) has
introduced a whole new set of
capabilities for current FieldSpec® Pro, LabSpec® Pro,
and QualitySpec® Pro parallel
port system users. The addition
of the Smart Ethernet Adapter easily
enables RJ45/ethernet connectivity, thereby freeing the user to upgrade instrument controllers without the hassle of parallel port issues.
As an added bonus, the RJ45/ethernet connectivity achieved by the Smart Ethernet Adapter provides the necessary platform to upgrade to the latest software releases from ASD for the FieldSpec®, LabSpec®, and QualitySpec® Pro level systems. This includes the ASD TCPSoftware Developer’s Kit, for autonomous control of spectrometer systems, and seamless compatibility with LabVIEW® systems and C.
The Ethernet Adapter kit includes all instructions
and cabling required to retrofit the existing Pro line FieldSpec®, LabSpec®, and QualitySpec®
systems to ethernet connectivity, and the
current software release (RS3™ or Indico™ Pro, depending upon application). Also
included are the accessory power port and
a belt clip for streamlined, and unencumbered use.
