QualitySpec® 7000

ASD Inc. is proud to introduce the QualitySpec® 7000 process spectrometer for measurement over conveyance systems and material process flows. Designed to be easily integrated into your process, the QualitySpec® 7000 utilizes a compact head design that houses an integrated quartz-halogen light source and automated white referencing mechanism. The system is ideally suited for continuous measurement of solids, powders and blended materials and can provide multiple measurements from a single point.

At the core of the QualitySpec® 7000 is the ASD spectrometer module which covers the Vis-NIR spectral region from 350-2500nm. Enclosed in a NEMA 4X electronics cabinet, the QualitySpec® 7000 can withstand some of the most extreme process environments from dusty mills to remote rock quarries. An optional air conditioner allows the unit to operate in temperatures up to 55oC (131oF).

Performance Specifications:

  • 100W – 150W Quartz-halogen sample illumination.
  • Sampling illumination spot size 3” – 8” with a standoff distance of 16” – 29” respectively.
  • 350-2500nm spectral range with a spectral display interval of 1 nm.
  • Spectral resolution: 4 nm at 700 nm, 10 nm at 1400 and 2200 nm.
  • Average 1500 hours or 2 months continuous bulb life which is user serviceable.
  • Included QuailtySpec® iP software displays predicted results for up to 20 constituents with Model Quality Index (MQI) for each model which is a quality indicator of the predicted results.

 

Mechanical/Electrical:

  • Power routed to the agreed upon installation location. AC input to instrument, 208-240V, 50/60Hz, 10A to internal power supply that provides 12 VDC to instrument & sampling head.
  • Ethernet connectivity (or fiber optic connection if more than 100 Meters) from the control room to the installation location.
  • VPN or dial-up connectivity allows ASD Tech Support perform diagnostics remotely.
  • Compressed air for system cooling and air knife.
  • Ethernet intercom to allow communications from instrument to control room if located remotely.
  • Weight: 250 lb (113 kg) exclusive of mounting structure.
