Developed in cooperation with FP Innovations – PAPRICAN, The QualitySpec® K-B allows fiber-line testers and operators to take numerous Kappa number and brightness measurements per hour at multiple bleach plant process locations—from digester blowline to fully bleached pulp. The QualitySpec® K-B employs a patent-pending Vis/NIR based method for rapid, non-contact, non-destructive analysis of Kraft pulp.

Below are specifications for the QualitySpec® K-B system and included sample press. The sample press replaces timely and labor intensive methods with an automated press that eliminates operator to operator variability in sample quality as well as reduces the use and exposure to hazardous testing chemicals typically encountered with wet chemistry methods.
