The company will be exhibiting at the conference and is also a Gold sponsor of the event
BOULDER, Colo. — June 8, 2017 — ASD Inc., a PANalytical company, a global leader in high-performance analytical instrumentation and materials analysis solutions, today announced the company will be attending and sponsoring the 18th International Conference on Near Infrared Spectroscopy (ICNIRS) in Copenhagen. The four-day conference will run June 11-15.
The company will be exhibiting their work in the food and agriculture industries, and is also a Gold sponsor of the conference. ASD’s instruments have recently been utilized to predict various meat quality traits as well as in studies to find how visible-near infrared spectroscopy can be used to help reduce waste and improve yields based on soil analysis.
This year, the theme of ICNIRS, the world’s largest scientific forum on NIR Spectroscopy, is “NIR pectroscopy at work in industry.” The conference will take place at the Bella Center Copenhagen and expects about 500 delegates to descend upon the capital of Denmark.
“We are thrilled to be attending ICNIRS 2017,” said Brent Olsen, vice president and general manager of ASD. “The studies we are presenting tie perfectly into the theme of this year’s conference and we look forward to introducing our focus for applications within the food and agriculture industries as well as discovering some of the other latest and greatest innovations in NIR instruments and technology at the conference.”
ICNIRS 2017 offers attendees the opportunity to network with industry leaders and gain insights from experts, scientists and world-renowned speakers. Before the conference begins, leading scientists will offer two days of pre-courses in NIR spectroscopy and chemometrics, strongly emphasizing industrial applications — this year’s conference theme. The courses are relevant for students, academics and industrial attendees.
